“100 Jumps for Joy” with Wakefield Hospice

One year ago, Sir Captain Tom Moore inspired the nation by walking 100 laps of his garden and raised a phenomenal £32million for NHS charities.
In honour of his amazing achievement this year his family are inviting everyone to take on their own 100 challenge to raise much needed funds for charities who have been impacted by the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Wakefield Hospice’s mascot ‘Treacle Bear’ has completed 100 jumps for joy and is inviting school children across the district to join him!
As a school we would like to support this event and are intending to do this next Friday 7th May 2021.

We are asking for a small donation of a £1 or whatever you feel you can afford and this can be sent via ParentPay or sent in with your child.
Many charities have struggled in this pandemic and we feel that this is a worthy local charity that we can help.
As ever with these events we will not preclude children from taking part if you feel you are unable to donate.

The Accord Multi Academy Trust is an educational charity established in September 2016 that is currently made up of four academies who were the founding members of the Trust. In September 2016 Horbury Academy and Ossett Academy & Sixth Form College came together, moving away from their stand-alone Trust status and were joined in December 2016 by Horbury Primary Academy and Middlestown Primary Academy.

The overarching vision for the Trust is to work in one ‘Accord – celebrating the differences of each academy through strong collaboration in order to inspire all members of our learning community to be the best that they can be.
