Red Nose Day – Friday 19th March

Horbury Primary Academy’s School Council are pleased to announce that we will be participating in Red Nose Day on Friday 19th March 2021!

We would like to invite the children to dress up as a superhero for the day!
They may wish to make their own mask, wristbands or perhaps decorate a t-shirt of turn a piece of fabric into a cape.
You can also find some printable masks to download here.
If your child does not wish to dress up as a superhero they may wish to wear a Red Nose Day t-shirt or something red.

A voluntary donation of £1 can be made on our ParentPay Red Nose Day page by using the following link:

What is your superpower?
We would like to challenge the children to think of and share their superpower or talent with their class on the afternoon of Red Nose Day.
The best superpower in each class will receive a superhero medal 🏅
This talent/superpower may be throwing and catching a ball whilst balancing on one leg, performing a magic trick, doing yo-yo tricks, building a tower of cards, balancing a ball on the back of your neck, juggling, egg and spoon with obstacles. We are sure that you all have amazing superpowers and we can’t wait to see them!

The Accord Multi Academy Trust is an educational charity established in September 2016 that is currently made up of four academies who were the founding members of the Trust. In September 2016 Horbury Academy and Ossett Academy & Sixth Form College came together, moving away from their stand-alone Trust status and were joined in December 2016 by Horbury Primary Academy and Middlestown Primary Academy.

The overarching vision for the Trust is to work in one ‘Accord – celebrating the differences of each academy through strong collaboration in order to inspire all members of our learning community to be the best that they can be.
