Take One Picture Project

16/07/2021

12th – 16th July

Our Take One Picture Project has been an extremely enjoyable end to the academic year.  The children across school have taken part in a whole range of activities based upon the image by Radosveta Zhelyazkova.  The image selected depicts the yellow brick road and the Emerald City from the the novel ‘The Wizard of Oz.’ Year groups have designed their own Emerald City, created puppets of the characters, drawn chalk rainbows and produced fantastic pieces of artwork.  It has been wonderful to see the children embracing the image and using it as a stimulus for their work across all curriculum areas.

The Accord Multi Academy Trust is an educational charity established in September 2016 that is currently made up of four academies who were the founding members of the Trust. In September 2016 Horbury Academy and Ossett Academy & Sixth Form College came together, moving away from their stand-alone Trust status and were joined in December 2016 by Horbury Primary Academy and Middlestown Primary Academy.

The overarching vision for the Trust is to work in one ‘Accord – celebrating the differences of each academy through strong collaboration in order to inspire all members of our learning community to be the best that they can be.
