Packed Lunches

Pupils are permitted to bring in a packed lunch. Lunchboxes are stored in trolleys kept in a cool area, although pupils can use insulated lunchboxes with freezer blocks in warmer months.

We work with parents and pupils to provide attractive and appropriate dining room arrangements, ensure that packed lunches abide by the academy standards, and keep our children safe.

Please see below for restrictions and guidance around packed lunches.

• We are a NUT FREE SCHOOL. Nuts and nut products are not permitted.
• The school will ensure that fresh drinking water is always available. Please note that water is the only beverage that pupils are permitted to consume at the academy.
• Children must only eat their own food and not other children’s.
• Glass containers and bottles are not permitted due to safety issues.
• Your child’s lunchbox should be clearly labelled with their name.
• All uneaten food and waste will be kept in the lunchbox and returned home with the child so that parents are able to monitor their child’s food consumption.
